Well done to all of my great heard working, dedicated team of volunteers who devoted many hours building props, sewing and gathering bits and pieces to complete the many costumes for our ‘Fairytale’ Book Characters who brought the Fairytale Stories ‘alive’ as they wandered down the main street of Colac bringing much delight to the many parents, grandparents and especially the children as they called out the names of each passing character!
A HUGE thank you to the supportive and loyal crowd who waited in the rain for us – we were so shocked but so appreciative to see how many
waited for all 31 floats and ‘weathered the storm’ with us!
Max our Volunteer who so kindly donated the use of his HUGE shed for us to build from two cardboard refrigerator boxes this beautiful Shoe for the ‘Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe’ creation. Max and Carol devoted nearly five weeks assembling, painting and with the help of other volunteers, Deb, Jan, Fran and Kimberley we all had so much fun attaching the ‘naughty children’ to the shoe as they scrambled all over with their ‘unruly’ antics!!
Carol Smit – Event Organiser wishes to convey a HUGE ‘Thank You’ to all who devoted so much time, passion and many hours of great fun!!
We all had a ball!!
Now the BIG ‘?’
